En Route Versions

In 2020, I envisioned that just as masks protect us from COVID, reducing daily emissions could shield us from severe climate change impacts. Four years later, we have cut over 200,000 kg of CO2 emissions and reached more than 60,000 people across 50+ countries.

EnRoute Concept

In the winter of 2019, I lost my aunt to toxic air pollution in Skopje, North Macedonia. In April 2020, as the world went into lockdown, I developed a concept to measure how much we can offset daily emissions through shopping and transport activities.

EnRoute for Transport

Pilot App: Built in Android Studio, using Flutter & Dart. A single-page app that allows users to input their daily activities and provides a combination of options that minimizes CO2 emissions while respecting their preferences.

EnRoute: Climate Hub

Built with Flutter & Dart, the app had connections to social media APIs and carbon trackers. We also established collaborations with local shops to offer discounts for user’s actions, which helped us to boost local businesses on one side and provide incentives for users to be more sustainable, on the other. This app had over 500 users.

EnRoute: Social Climate App

Built with React Native & Swift, the app connected to sensors for predicting air pollution, and analyzed the supply chain of food & fashion products. Reached over 6000 users.

EnRoute for Shopping

After deploying air pollution sensors in Skopje, North Macedonia, we discovered that fast-fashion factories are the primary contributors to air pollution. This version of our app helps people understand the sustainability practices of their favorite companies.

EnRoute for Shopping: ML Version

Based on the feedback from the previous version, we realized that users are more interested in understanding the story behind a specific piece rather than a particular company. Therefore, we developed this version using computer vision, recommendation systems, and a specialized sustainability algorithm, as explained here.

EnRoute Supply Chain Edition

After France decided to ban fast fashion, we developed EnRoute Supply Chain to assist governments and local agencies in tracking the journey from the factory to the delivery point.
